Eid Ul Adha Mubarak 2021
Celebrating ‘The Feast of Sacrifice’.
At Ashoka Group of Schools, we strongly believe that in our multicultural society we need to instil and enforce the universal values of brotherhood, tolerance, peace, compassion, and solidarity in our children. A celebration in the form of special assemblies is an effort to sensitise students towards living in harmony in a diverse society.
With the same spirit, at Ashoka Universal School, Off Gangapur Road Campus, Eid-Ul-Adha was celebrated with great fervor and excitement by all the students of Grade VI-VIII and all educators. The celebrations of Eid which is a festival of prayers, joy, happiness, and brotherhood. The host students explained to peers that the name Eid-Ul-Adah means “Feast of Sacrifice” and this festival commemorates Abraham’s willingness to sacrifice his son in accordance with God’s commands, before being stopped by God from carrying out the act at the last moment. Students sang songs, gave special performances, wore festive clothes & greeted each other 'Eid Mubarak and concluded the assembly with a strong message of promoting peace, harmony and coexistence in society.
