Art Fest 2022-23
Ashoka Art Fest grand success with over 2000 artworks and 1200 student artists
Ashoka Group of Schools held its spectacular annual art exhibition called Ashoka Art Fest on the 4th and 5th of March at City Centre Mall.
It is an annual student-led intellectual property of Ashoka Group of Schools where student-made artefacts are showcased and available for sale over a period of two days. Ashoka runs a very productive and creative art department for students which includes many activities that are taught to students by talented and competent teachers and artists.
This year, over 2000 artefacts have been created for this unique visual extravaganza by more than 1200 students across the three campuses of Ashoka Group of Schools at Ashoka Marg, Arjun Nagar and Sinnar. The end-to-end execution of this fest, right from planning to creation of art works to budgeting, marketing and selling is done by students.
One of the best parts of Ashoka Art Fest is its linkage to philanthropy. Year-on-year, the sale proceeds from this exhibition are donated to various NGOs. So far, Ashoka has donated over Rs 5 lakhs through the medium of Art Fest. This year the income from the Art Fest were donated for the betterment of specially-abled children from Manali NGO.
Visitors witness a display of Paintings, interesting Crafts, Home décor, Wood-Art artefacts, Calligraphy masterpieces, Pottery art pieces, Sculptures, Sand-Art, & more during this event.
"Through the medium of Art Fest we give our students exposure to the complete value chain of business. It gives them a practical hands-on experience of entrepreneurship,” informed Shrikant Shukla, Secretary – Ashoka Education Foundation.
This was the first edition of the fest after the pandemic and 6th consecutive season since its inception.
Some of the highlights of the fest include:
• Live Sand Art Show

“At Ashoka, we strive to empathise with the society in whatever ways we can. Art Fest is an amazing student-led platform for our little art prodigies to leverage their skills in fine art for a noble cause,” stated Astha Kataria, Managing Trustee, Ashoka Group of Schools.
