REPUBLIC DAY - 2019
Ashoka Universal School celebrated Republic Day on the 26th of January, in its school premises. The celebrations began with the hoisting of the Indian national flag by the Chief Guest, Retd. Col. Prem Nair followed by the National Anthem and the song, ‘Jhanda Uncha Rahe Hamara’. Students of different houses proudly presented the March Past, which was a mini representation of the celebration held at Rajpath, New Delhi. Led by the Parade leader Soham Zope of Grade X and Om Chaudhary the Band Leader of Grade IX, the Chief Guest inspected the troops after which the students looking resplendent in their crisp uniforms presented a smart march past, representing the true spirit of the day. A patriotic song set to the tune of music by the Ashoka Music team, aroused feelings of pride for our nation in all those present. This was followed by a dance performance by the students, on a medley of patriotic songs, which electrified the air. Outstanding students were awarded with certificates for their performances in various competitive exams and Arts and Music. Spectators were thoroughly impressed with the display of determination by the students of Ashoka School. The audience left the premise with a resolve to put in efforts that would bring glory to our nation.
