National Sports Day Celebration (2019)
“Sports build good habits, confidence and discipline”. By participating in sports and games, a student gains various skills, experience and confidence that are helpful for developing their personality. Sports is an integral part of Indian Culture. It helps children to develop mental and physical toughness. Sports make our body strong and active. To inculcate this spirit in our students, Ashoka Universal School celebrated National Sports Day on August 29, 2019. The National Sports Day is celebrated on the birth anniversary of Hockey Legend Major Dhyan Chand. He had won gold medals in Olympics for India in the years 1928, 1932 and 1936. The programme was a tribute to late Major Dhyan Chand. The stage was arranged with inspirational quotes on Major Dhyan Chand . On this occasion the students performed Karate and Gymnastics with zeal. The school's Sports achievers were felicitated with the precious accolades for performing their best in sports like Basketball, Karate, Athletics, etc.
