Field visit to Sahyadri Farms
‘Children who experience holistic development during their school years grow up to become global citizens.’
As a practical effort of achieving holistic development of our students, Ashoka Universal School organized a field visit for Grade 8 students to Maharashtra’s biggest food processing industry, Sahyadri Farms, as a part of their study tour.
@sahyadrifarms, one of the leading exporters of grapes in the world, hosted the students and helped them learn about mango pulp and tomato sauce manufacturing and packaging processes, the use of cotton in manufacturing cotton shirts, and most importantly the manufacturing of one of their favourite ketchup brands, ‘Kissan’ at Sahyadri.
The curious minds also posed many questions to the company representatives like annual turnover, profits, staff strength, growth pace, and their complete journey from inception.
