Field Visit to Coin Museum
Grade 4 students of Ashoka Universal School experienced an insightful study tour to the Shanti Krishna (Coin) Museum, Nashik to understand Numismatics in all its glory.
Field trips or study tours are a practical, fun, interactive way of learning in which our Ashokites learn with interest. And this study tour was planned to cover concepts from Social Studies and Math.
Under the guidance of Dr Riza Abbas, Director, Indian Numismatic, Historical and Cultural Research Foundation and his team, our learners explored various fossils, stone age tools, terracotta jewellery, earthen pots & potsherds, copper tools, stones & minerals, the journey of money, and the transformation of money exchange, Indian bronze statues, and paintings among other things.
Along with gathering important information, the students enjoyed the trip thoroughly.
