Pola Celebrations
At Ashoka Global Preschool we always engage our tiny tots in cultural festivities that tie them to our tradition.
Recently, we celebrated Pola, a thanksgiving festival, which is observed across the country by farmers to acknowledge the importance of bulls and oxen who are a crucial part of agriculture and farming activities. The celebration included Pola themed decor in school, complete with the cow shed, decorated mannequins of the bulls and oxen, and our educator fraternity dressed up as farmers.
Kids were taught the importance of this festival through an interactive session. All the children dressed up for the celebration in traditional attire and enjoyed the festivities involved. They also put up a fantastic dance and singing performance on the Pola theme.
