Janmashtami and Dahi Handi Celebration
Janmashtami marks the birth of Lord Krishna. It is one of the oldest and most celebrated traditions of Indian culture. We always try to engage our tiny tots in the festivities that have a deep rooted ethos and tradition.
A Dahi handi celebration was organised for all the preschool students. The campus was filled with cute little Krishnas and Radhas. Every child was dressed up in all traditional vibrancy complete with their mischievous yet adorable expressions. The program started with the singing troupe performing a melodious traditional Janmashtami song. This was followed with a dazzling dance performance where the Radhas of our campus were enjoying themselves. A musical skit was also performed where our educator played the role of Yashoda Ma and our little tot played the role of an adorable Shree Krishna.
This was followed by the most awaited aspect of today’s celebration – Breaking the Dahi Handi!
