Story Telling Room

Library and Story Telling Room

A wide range of books full of colours, illustrations and beautiful stories lines the Library and Story Telling Room at Ashoka Global Preschool. Story telling forms an integral part of everyday learning as kindergartners grasp ideas much faster through audio-visual media. Teachers regularly narrate stories to students that are age specific and enjoyable. This helps students build vocabulary, increase concentration and develop cognitive skills.

STEAM Lab

STEAM Lab

A STEAM Activity (with elements of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) goes beyond academic learning. When toddlers and pre-schoolers try out STEAM activities, they are learning about how the world works. The basics of STEAM thinking includes

  • Creating a Theory
  • Exploration
  • Discovery
  • Testing
  • Recording Data

Toddlers and pre-schoolers naturally go through this discovery and learning phase. With STEAM activities for toddlers, the exploration and discovery is open-ended, giving them the chance to see how things work together without the confines of strict academic learning. This helps children develop their creativity and preserve their sense of wonder, opening their minds to the excitement and joy of learning.

Happiness Room

Happiness Room

To be able to break the monotony of having to be confined to one specific place for a long time, we have come up with a unique concept of the “Happiness Room”. The motto behind having the Happiness Room is to give our tiny tots a much needed brain break from everything that they do in their classroom. Students visit this room at least once a week to let go of all their inhibitions to dance their hearts out.

Pretend Play Room

Pretend play is also known as "symbolic play" because it involves the use of symbols. In the case of pretend play, children turn into their favourite characters while using one object to stand for another, such as pretending a spoon is a hairbrush, or a tablecloth is a cape. This type of symbolic thought is also needed for language, as our words are symbols. We believe that pretend play helps our kindergarteners build both on their imagination skills and their social skills.

Classrooms

Classrooms

Classrooms at Ashoka are bright, spacious and child-friendly. Colours and images play an important part in every child’s development as children associate a lot of their learning with these. Keeping this important aspect in mind, all the classrooms are designed to create an environment that stimulates better learning. Happy triggers like images of their favourite cartoon characters, foods, sports, superheroes etc. in class are sure to keep our kids cheerful through the day!

3D Lab

3D Lab

Taking a step ahead toward futuristic learning a 3 D lab is setup in the campus to give our young learners 3 dimensional exposure to classroom learning. The students are taken to the lab regularly for better understanding of basic concepts.
