At Ashoka Global Preschool, our young students are given the opportunity to explore a range of activities to satisfy their curiosity and channelize their energy. As educators, we engage our childrenin interesting classes that range from performing arts to sports to help them develop physically, mentally, emotionally and socially. An academy dedicated to each of our special extra-curricular activities provides our students the opportunity to learn the skill of their choice under some of the best in field!
The skills are divided into 4 main parameters
Our Dance Academy helps stimulate a child’s imagination by giving them ample space and a positive atmosphere to express themselves. Children enjoy these lessons most when they are encouraged to let go of their inhibitions and find their own rhythm. Our teachers are skilled at bringing out the best in each student and keeping the dance classes engaging and fun. This is also a space where students learn synchronization through movement and music.
The Music lessons conducted at Ashoka help students grasp and retain new information through creative action songs and catchy melodies. An early introduction to music is proven to improve students’ performance at reading and Math in later years, and gives them a better sense of confidence. Simple music activities related to vocabulary, beats and tone also help them develop important life skills; and there’s a good chance they would find new buddies to sing along here!
Students are encouraged to try the many indoor and outdoor games made available for them. These include gymnastics, yoga sessions, a well-equipped skating ring and introduction to simple activities like running, skipping and other outdoor games. These activities help students develop their Gross Motor Skills and also teach them valuable lessons like sharing, team-work and patience. Sports help children do better in the classrooms through improved concentration and ability to grasp new concepts.
Young children are full of curiosity. Our teachers are skilled at harnessing this curiosity to creatively introduce simple skills and principles through Arts and Craft. This is a class where students expand their creative horizons and find unique ways to communicate and express themselves. Through simple movements and activities, we work on their motor and coordination skills, encourage them to work in groups and find solutions to simple problems. Art and Crafts is more than a hobby class, it is a form of experiential learning that goes a long way in helping a child develop important academic and life skills.
