Hiroshima & Nagasaki day Primary 2019-20
Hiroshima Day is observed on 6 August. It is the day when in 1945 an atomic bomb was dropped in the city of Hiroshima, Japan. On this day first time use of nuclear weapon was seen and just after three days of Hiroshima another nuclear weapon was dropped in Nagasaki. These bombings ended Second World War. It marks the anniversary of the atomic bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki by the United States in 1945. Hiroshima Day is now a focus for anti-war and anti-nuclear discussions and demonstrations. Hiroshima Day also observed as Anti Nuclear Day also called A-Bomb Day. Hiroshima Peace Memorial Ceremony to console the victims of the atomic bombs and to pray for the realization of lasting world peace. The Activity Coordinator Ms. Roshani Chittoria briefed about the cause, ill effects and the destruction that led to signing a treaty of peace . It’s been 74 years to the incident but still, we remember it for horrific outcome. The main objective was to convey that War is not the only solution. Communication bridges the gap between everyone. Peace and harmony are the only solution to every conflict. Children realized the importance of maintaining good friendship and healthy relations with everyone to avoid confusions, misunderstandings and ultimately leading to conflicts. Let’s join hands and focus on spreading peace.
