Dignity & Body Hygiene 2019-20
Adolescence, the age between 9-13 years, a child goes from many changes. Their way of thinking, curiousness towards development of mental and physical health, changing mentalities, all these things sums up a major stage of development in a child’s life. A session On “Dignity and Body Hygiene” was conducted for the students of grade VI & VII, where they were briefed about such important topic by our HM Dr. Priya Aher. She emphasized on ‘Dignified Living’ and ‘Personal Hygiene’. At this age, it’s necessary for any child to understand to respect their body, their name and their peers. Any kind of verbal abuse should not be accepted or tolerated. Children undergo many changes in their bodies and hence Personal hygiene should be taken care of. Being the guardians, it is our duty to explain the children about daily care habits to build a strong immune, to protect themselves from any kind of infections and living a healthy stress-free life. They should also be aware of Bad touch and must confide it to their Trust Circle i.e their parents, teachers and guardians. Self-Safety should be a regular check. The main mantra of this session was to bring their attention on having Mutual respect for themselves, their peers and their families in every walk of life. “Respect Yourself and Others Will Respect You”
