NASHIK FAST FORWARD - Jal Hai Toh Kal Hai Mission - Street Play 2019 - 20
Water is necessary for life. Water is needed for domestic, agricultural and industrial purposes. Three-fourth of Earth's surface is covered by water bodies, 97 per cent of this water is present in oceans as salt water and is unfit for human consumption. Only one per cent of fresh water is available and fit for human use. So it is very important to conserve this precious resource. Increasing population and rapid urbanisation has led to over-use of water resources leading to water pollution and scarcity. Water scarcity can be defined as a situation when people don't have enough water to fulfil their basic needs. India is one of the many countries that are facing water scarcity today. Ashoka Universal School, Sinnar is working on a year long project “Jal hai to kal hai" in continuation with their awareness programme, the students presented a street play on “Save water, Save life" in public on 27th July 2019 at Kamgar Chowk Sinnar. The main motto behind this awareness drive was to explain the current situation and the importance of conserving water by various methods throughout the year. We are the guardians of our resources and hence its our responsibility to save every drop of it. It is now time that we join our hands and come together to encounter this problem. By inculcating the habits of preserving water and planting more trees in our first and second generation we are pledging to have a bright future. Let’s protect water, protect our future.
